Game idea: Feeling instruments
Age: From 4 years
Players: At least 2 children
What do you need?
Musical instruments and a pouch (a cotton pouch is included with each Schmetterline rhythm set)
How is it played?
All the instruments are put in the bag and a child chooses one with their eyes closed. He should guess which instrument he is holding by touch and say the name of that instrument. If he doesn't know the name, he can look it up (on the rhythm set box, for example) to introduce a new word into his vocabulary. Some instruments also have different names (e.g. the rattle, which is also a guiro, cucumber or ratchet), all of which apply.
What is promoted?
Motor skills, sensory skills, intuition, language skills
